Beginning Fall of 2025, YPCO will change its format to a conductor-less strings-only chamber orchestra led by local professional musicians. Student musicians in grades 8-12 must be nominated by their teacher to get the opportunity to be part of the experience.
YPCO is a symphony orchestra for young musicians founded in 2000. Since then we have provided an experience for Orchestra Repertoire and Performance led by professional musicians based in the Central Ohio area.

to providing musical enrichment to its members by promoting understanding and enjoyment of the orchestral experience. Musicians work in a collaborative atmosphere, with a strong emphasis on education and appreciation of the orchestral works being performed. YPCO provides an opportunity not only for individual musical growth, but also for establishing and developing friendships among young musicians throughout Central Ohio.
