In this video, Coach McCarthy participates in an obstacle course he created in his back yard. You may use ideas from his course when setting up your own. Remember to warm-up first, have water ready for hydrating, and wear sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun!
Time yourself to see how fast you can complete your course, and challenge someone at home to see who can finish the fastest. Do your best, have some fun, and LET'S GET MOVING!

Supplies needed: 10 socks, 1 shoe, 1 bucket
Game prep: Roll socks into small balls (eggs). Place bucket on the ground and place shoe on the ground about 5-10 feet away from the bucket.
Game rules: Stand behind shoe and toss eggs into the bucket. Each egg that goes into the bucket is a point. Each egg that doesn't go into the bucket will be how many repetitions of a certain exercise you will have to do (push ups).
Example: You throw 10 eggs, 5 go in the bucket and 5 land on the ground. You earned 5 points AND you have to do 5 push ups before tossing the eggs again.
You may change up the rules to fit your situation at home. Do your best, have some fun, and LET'S GET MOVING!

The garden is currently at Coach McCarthy's house where he can take care of it on a daily basis. There are currently 21 tomatoes, 17 cucumbers, 38 blue lake beans, 3 okra, and 1 potato growing in the garden. The gailardias, daisies, and poppies will hopefully start blooming in the coming weeks. A few more sunflowers will be blooming in the upcoming days. Stay tuned!

It is very important for you to warm-up before you exercise or play. It's the best thing you can do to get READY and protect yourself from getting injured. Put on some workout clothes, lace up your sneakers, grab some water, and warm-up with Coach and his special guest.... Maddie!
Alright boys and girls, today I am going to teach you a fast and easy way to tie your shoes so that you are better prepared to exercise, play, and get physically active at home. Make sure you follow each step and PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE in order to get better.
Time to get moving! Find 10 objects around your house and write them down on the chart below or a piece of paper. Now look at the alphabet workout sheet below and perform an exercise for each letter of each word.
*If you really want to challenge yourself, calculate how many points you earned after you complete every exercise for each word! For example: CHAIR (C: 5 sit ups) (H: Run in place and count to 25) (A: 10 jumping jacks) (I: 15 seconds crab walk) (R: 12 pencil jumps)
5+25+10+15+12= 67 points!!!
Hint: The bigger the word, the more points you earn.
