This page provides basic information about when assessments will occur.
These assessments will occur during the school year to measure mastery.
Students who score a Level 1 or 2 on the FAST STAR assessment will complete DIBELS Assessments either bi-weekly or weekly as determined by an individual student's skill level.
Benchmark is our adopted curriculum for Language Arts this year. Assessments will occur every week to three weeks.
Reading with the teacher will occur daily beginning in late August or September and will be observed and informally assessed at that time. Running Records will be available for adults to view in binders during conferences.
Progress monitoring in a small group to reinforce reading skills with an adult will occur every week as necessary depending on an individual student's performance.
Oral Language Assessments will occur in August and January.
These assessments will occur monthly starting in September. These are optional for teachers.
*There is no specific number needed for Dolch words for passing First Grade. However, the expectation is for all students to read the Pre-Primer, Primer, and First Grade lists at minimum.
