Kirkmere Elementary School

Y-STEAM teacher, Mr. Warner, and his second graders at Kirkmere Elementary School are busy working together to build robots, overcome challenges, and grow their coding skills while preparing for their future high paying careers. Youngstown offers access to robotics early, so that our scholars will have plenty of time to get ready for this fast growing field.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School

Y-STEAM teacher, Ms. Whitmore, and her scholars at Martin Luther King Elementary School are building their Physical Science, data collection, measurement, and communication skills. Scholars collected, graphed, and analyzed data in this hands-on experiment. They also shared their data with classmates and translated it into a scaled bar graph representative of all groups’ data.

Paul C. Bunn Elementary

Y-STEAM teacher, Ms. Shepard, and her scholars are using Labdiscs to capture weather conditions data, create bar graphs, and write opinion pieces.
