The YHS Library Media Center is open Monday through Friday from 7:20 to 3:00
The mission of the YCSD K-12 Library Media Center program is to instill empathy in our students through quality literature and ESTEAM and to build their skills in information literacy and technology. This will prepare our students to succeed in a complex global society, while helping them to develop into enthusiastic lifelong readers and learners.

Facts about the YHS Library Media Center:
On average, 730 students visit the library every day.
Tutors are available almost every period courtesy of the NHS.
The library offers a designated quiet study area.
The collection contains over 10,000 books and 70 databases.
The Chromebook program is run out of the library.
Hundreds of ebooks and audiobooks are available for immediate download.
There are two 3D printers and a large format printer in the library.
The makerspace is open for students to explore every day during normal library hours.
Textbooks are available for student use in the library.

Students will sign in upon arrival
Food and drinks will be finished outside the library
Voices will be kept down
Devices will be silenced or headphones will be used
Furniture will not be moved
All people and property will be treated with respect
