Rules for Community Service with Businesses
The volunteering effort must clearly benefit the community much more than it benefits the business.
The Rule: The main goal of the activity must be to help a non-profit, a vulnerable group (like seniors or children), or the environment.
What's NOT Allowed:
NO replacing a paid employee. If the business always pays someone to do a job, they can't ask volunteers to do it for free.
NO working just to clean or fix the company's own office or property.
NO activity that is really just a sales pitch or a commercial for the business.
