About Mrs. Daly

Education

I was born and raised in Rockland County, New York, and I attended schools in the Clarkstown Central School District.  I attended Manhattan College for my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Science in Special Education (Go Jaspers!).  I also attended Lehman College for a Master's Degree in Literacy Studies.  

Experience

I began my teaching career in 2nd grade and 4th grade at P.S. 8 Isaac Varian in the Bronx.  In September 2020, I was honored to join the Crompond Elementary community as a 5th grade teacher.  This will be my fourth year at Crompond and my ninth year in the teaching profession.  I also have experience as an art teacher and an arts and crafts director at a camp, so I enjoy incorporating art into my classroom.  

Teaching Philosophy

I chose to become a teacher because of the profound impact teachers have had on my life.  It is my hope to "pay it forward," and be a teacher who always goes the extra mile for their students.  My philosophy of teaching is the belief that every child can be successful.

Personal Life

I currently live in Yonkers with my husband, Dennis.  He is a fireman in the Yonkers Fire Department.  We enjoy spending time in the Adirondacks and cooking together.  In my free time, I enjoy baking, yoga, pilates and traveling.
