School-based health care is a powerful tool for achieving health equity among children and adolescents who unjustly experience disparities in outcomes simply because of their race, ethnicity, or family income. It’s also a commonsense idea gaining currency across the country: place critically needed services like medical, behavioral, dental, and vision care directly in schools so that all young people, no matter their zip code, have equal opportunity to learn and grow.

Kids' Mobile Dental Program at Hannah Penn K-8 Elementary School
An initiative of Family First Health, Kids Against Cavities is a mobile pediatric oral healthcare system designed to allow our dental team to provide services in schools and childcare centers, including local Head Start and Pre-K Counts programs. Through these outreach events, Kids Against Cavities provides preventative screenings, exams, x-rays, cleanings, sealants and fluoride. Our goal is to introduce children and their families to the dentist as early as possible, reinforce the importance of oral health, and give children a dental home.
We at Pennsylvania Counseling Services (PCS) take the services to the students. This approach helps even more people have access to therapy and makes it possible to place a caring therapist in the life of every hurting child.
WE WANT TO HELP STUDENTS DISCOVER THEIR GREATNESS BY PROVIDING TRADITIONAL OUTPATIENT THERAPY WITHIN THE SCHOOL WALLS.
Our school-based program targets elementary and secondary-level students with emotional and/or behavioral needs. Students can be referred for services by either school personnel and/or parents.

Community and School-Based Behavioral Health
Pressley Ridge provides individuals and families with hope and support through life’s challenges. We pride ourselves on partnering with families and meeting them where they are, when they need it the most. We offer Community and School-Based Behavioral Health (CSBBH) Services for students at Hannah Penn, McKinley, and Davis, who have severe emotional and/or behavioral problems that interfere with their functioning at school, home or in the community. The goals of our program are to teach your child new ways to better manage feelings and behaviors and to learn to get along better with others. Services may include individual, group or family therapy; behavior management planning and intervention; crisis intervention; and referrals.
