About the Tinpot League

Running since 1983, the University of York Staff Cricket League (aka The Tinpot League), is designed as a friendly and inclusive set of T20 cricket matches played on weekday evenings from May to August on the University pitches at 22 Acres. Originally designed for staff and postgrads, the teams are now made up of anyone who has a connection to the University. Cricketing experience is not essential (nor the wearing of white clothing), just the desire to have a social game of cricket.
