Place and Community aims to contribute to cultural wellbeing in our city and beyond by fostering collaborations between Arts and Humanities researchers and external partners. Funding is available through the P&C KE fund for collaborative, networking and partnership activities that involve the exchange of knowledge with one or more partners outside the University
Projects should sit under one or more of the broad themes of 'Place', 'Placemaking', 'Community', and 'Cultural Wellbeing'.
Projects are encouraged that support diversity and inclusion, or that support post-Covid recovery (but projects are not limited to these themes alone).
Projects should be loosely connected with research in the broad sphere of Arts and Humanities, but funding is not limited to researchers in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
There is no need to demonstrate a trajectory to impact.
Open from 1 August 2025 until June 2026.
Up to £2,000 available.
Open to all academic and research staff working on Arts & Humanities projects; you can normally only apply once per year.
The call will close when all funding is used.
Deadline for all projects: 31 July 2026.
