Every student is allocated a supervisor from your academic department to support your learning. Your supervisor will be able to help you with:
Providing advice on and support for your academic progress;
Supporting your personal development and acquisition of academic and employability skills;
Providing general pastoral guidance, assisting you to identify appropriate specialist support should you require it.
The Skills Community can help with a wide range of practical skills you will need to succeed in your studies. Offering writing support, help with your English language skills, statistical support and much more, they are a great resource for students seeking to develop their abilities.
Over the course of your studies, you will be come very familiar with the University library. Not only does this space host thousands of books, it also has plenty of different study spaces, advise services and a great cafe.
Reps are elected each year and represent our students and their concerns in academic departments. If you ever encounter a problem or think there needs to be change in your department, Reps are a great way of getting support to change our student community.
