Thomas Gent 18th-century printing press

Thomas Gent was a famous 18th-century printer in York. A fragmented and dismantled press allegedly used by Gent is preserved at the Scarborough Museums Trust. A preliminary digitisation of the fragments was carried out as part of the Thin Ice Press Project initiated by the Department of English and Related Literature.
