CELEBRATING SPACES

CONNECTING RESEARCHERS

27th June 2024

Thank you to everybody who helped make Celebrating Spaces: Connecting Researchers a resounding success!

What is Celebrating Spaces: Connecting Researchers?

Celebrating Spaces: Connecting Researchers is an internal open day that aims to bring together all of the University of York’s research and research-enabling staff to showcase, explore, and enjoy both the wide range of research carried out at our institution and the unique and often unknown spaces that facilitate that research.

The day will include lightning talks, a research exhibition and showcase, open up little-known research spaces to visitors, and end with a big celebration networking event bringing the University community together to celebrate and learn more about the research done across our campus.

All members of staff who support or undertake research can be involved and share their research stories and spaces, allowing them to engage with the wide range of research activities that the university has to offer.

Celebrating Spaces: Connecting Researchers aims to create a greater sense of community across the University, and empower Early Career Researchers and research supporting staff to cultivate new relationships across different research groups, departments, and faculties.
