Celebrating Spaces: Connecting Researchers will bring together research and research enabling staff to showcase, explore, and enjoy the wide range of research being done at the University of York.
Celebrating Spaces: Connecting Researchers will exemplify the core aims of the University Strategy 2030 by fostering a sense of community across the University, empowering researchers to cultivate new relationships across varied research groups and departments, and make staff feel excited and proud to be part of the University of York community.
Celebrating Spaces: Connecting Researchers centres on early career researchers (ECRs), providing an opportunity for those at the start of their academic careers to celebrate and discuss their research with a university wide audience. The lightning talks are designed for ECRs to succinctly showcase the excellence of their research.
Although ECRs will take the lead, we encourage contributions from all members of staff at the University, whether based in academic research or professional support services (e.g. technicians, librarians, etc.). The exhibition showcase and lightning talks will be open for any member of the university to visit and enjoy. The networking and celebration event will be open to all members of university research staff, research enabling staff, and postgraduate researchers.
Celebrating Spaces: Connecting Researchers is funded by the York Enhancing Research Culture Fund provided by Research England.
