The Bio-Boost application process is broken into the 3 stages outlined below:
Stage 1: Application Form
Applicants at this stage are asked to complete a motivational statement, detail relevant industry, life and/or research experience as well as detail academic qualifications.
Applications at this stage are reviewed by the Bio-Boost leadership team. Personal characteristics will be removed to minimise bias.
Stage 2: Application Form
Eligible applicants with a strong motivation to join Bio-Boost will be asked to complete a 2nd application form. This 2nd form is focused on the candidate being able to demonstrate wastewater and cohort specific knowledge and competences. Personal characteristics will again be removed to minimise bias.
Applications at this stage are evaluated by supervisory team against set criteria, the results of which are fed into the leadership team who conduct the final shortlisting
Stage 3: Presentation and Interview
Successful candidates will be asked to attend an online interview where they will be asked to present a pre-defined topic (this can be pre-recorded) and then answer standard interview questions.
The interview panel will be made up of the Bio-Boost Leadership Team, the cohort theme leads, and independent Equality Diversity and Inclusion Champion and a non-academic partner.
