Bio-Boost will draw on the unique facilities provided by University of York, Newcastle University, UK Waterwater Industry Reserach, the Environment Agency and Oxford Nanopore Technologies and Waters
The programme will focus on six themes within three cohorts

Increasing health security through an innovative and integrated approached to (eco)epidemiology
Tackling resistant infectious diseases
Cohort 2 - Building a sustainable, secure and resilient world
Tackling pollution to maximising ecological protection
Ensuring the biotechnological resilience of WWT to the threats pose by climate change
Cohort 3 - Creating renewable resources for clean and sustainable growth
Delivering biological solutions to improve energy security and help the water sector deliver net zero
Driving the circular (bio)economy for sustainable industrial growth and waste management
