This project was done in a 'Creative Product Design' class. My team was tasked with creating a new product that contributes to societal development. We designed and built a rescue robot that detects and launches an inflatable life jacket to a person drowning. I was responsible for constructing the actuation parts, selecting motors and designing the actuator structures encompassing pitching and aiming mechanisms. Additionally, I developed the whole algorithm from detecting a person drowning to accurately shooting the life jacket to a desired location. I was elected as the presenter of our final product and persuaded professors and fellow classmates, leading my team to win first place among 15 teams. Marking this achievement, we are preparing a patent and a publication for this product.
