The Competition

The Toughest Dad competition is comprised of four separate events. Awards are given to dads who are the top competitors in each event, and the Toughest Dad award is given to the competitor who does the best overall. Competitors are scored based on their age, so grandfathers and great grandfathers are encouraged to compete, too! No event would be complete without cheering fans, so be sure to bring family and friends to support their favorite dad and the SPSF.

• 800 Meter Run Movement to Contact (MTC) - run as fast as you can for 800 meters!
• Ammunition Lift (AL) - how many times can you lift a 30-pound ammo box from your chest to directly over your head in 2 minutes?
• Maneuver Under Fire (MANUF) - an intense course involving various crawls, sprinting, lifting, throwing, and carrying.
• ATA Combat Weapons Sparring - a safe, fun, and fast-paced sparring style using padded sticks to strike your opponent.
