The team behind the team!
Mrs. Vanley has been practicing as an Athletic Trainer for 25 years. She completed her degree and training at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) where she studied under the famous Dawn Hearn. Her work experience includes multiple high schools and working with some of the top college athletes at UTEP during her time there. Mrs. Vanley is a proud graduate of Gadsen High School where she worked as an ATSA for four years!
Athletic Training Student Aides work under the direction of the Licensed Athletic Trainers (LAT) to assist in the five domains of Athletic Training: Risk Reduction, Wellness and Health Literacy; Assessment, Evaluation and Diagnosis; Critical Incident Management; Therapeutic Intervention; Healthcare Administration and Professional Responsibility.
This official statement from the NATA helps guide our decisions and what we do in the Athletic Training Program with our students. Any questions should be directed to Mrs. Vanley.
