Our aim is to create a fun, safe, welcoming and friendly community, where ANYONE can enjoy comics and Cosplay free from negative and inappropriate conduct . We want you to not only enjoy some awesome events, but to experience them in an environment where you are safe and accepted. Maintaining this positive and welcoming atmosphere, both online and at events, is of the utmost importance to us. For this reason we have drafted a policy of zero tolerance towards safety and behavior.
All bags are subject to being searched.
BIG RED Comic Con aims to provide a fun, safe, welcoming, and friendly community within which anyone can enjoy, free from negative and inappropriate conduct. As such, we have a ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY for inappropriate behavior of any kind, including but not limited to:
offensive comments
any unwelcome physical attention (Cosplay does not mean consent)
physical assault
non-consensual photography/recording
sustained disruption of events or activities
any behavior deemed dangerous
Inappropriate behavior directed towards other attendees, guests or staff, whether taking place at these events, online, or elsewhere, will be subject to our zero tolerance policy, which applies to all individuals with no exceptions.
If at any point someone indicates that your attention or behaviour is unwelcome then we expect that your actions will cease. Any continued, unwelcome and/or inappropriate contact will result in action taken by Security/organisers/staff, and our decision to do so will be final.
In such cases, we reserve the right to take prompt action as deemed appropriate, including but not limited to;
refusal of entry to an event
Ejection of individuals from an event, without refund
Banning of individuals from any or all future events
Contacting the police.
Anyone can report inappropriate behavior, and you should not feel any hesitation to do so. If any action or behavior has made you uncomfortable, or if you witness the same happening to someone else, you should immediately contact staff or event security, who will assist you in any way necessary.
The BIG RED Comic Con also has the right to refuse entry to any person for any reason as we see fit.
Photography is permitted in all public areas of the convention, unless signs or staff indicate otherwise.
Other than during stage based activities, permission must be sought from any attendee you wish to photograph. It is forbidden to take any photo or recording of attendees without prior consent.
If an attendee requests to see any photograph taken, we expect that you will oblige.
In accordance with our Safety and Behavior Guidelines we have a zero tolerance policy against any behavior which is dangerous, constitutes unwelcome attention or intimidation, or causes undue disruption to events - this naturally extends to any behavior associated with photography.
Any photography which deliberately compromises the dignity of an attendee will result in prompt and appropriate action taken by event organisers.
For the health and safety of all attendees, any equipment used must be held by the photographer. Free standing equipment or additional equipment held by other people e.g. light stands, is not permitted without agreement from the organisers.
Any use of power sockets requires the permission of the organisers and the venue.
BIG RED Comic Con claims no rights over any photos taken at our events, and photographers maintain all rights associated with their images under US copyright law.
Attendees may not attempt to sell photography services or images to other attendees without a booked trading space or prior permission from the organisers.
We remind anyone taking or posing for photographs to remain aware of their surroundings and be courteous to other attendees.
Please be aware that by taking part in any organised, stage based activities, you consent to the photography of other attendees during that activity - we will not be able to restrict photography during these activities.
Both photography and videography will be taking place throughout the event on behalf of the organisers. By entering the event, you consent to this photography/videography and any future use of these images by the organisers.
