About Enrichment at Yinghua:
Yinghua offers three terms per year of age-appropriate, after-school enrichment classes. The Extended Learning office releases a catalog about a week before registration and designates one week for online registration each term. Most classes are one hour in length, but exceptions are noted in the catalog.
Each enrichment class comes with a fee, and as part of this fee, there is a reduced childcare (Aftercare) fee of $12/day. This Aftercare service includes providing a snack to each student and supervised transitions between classes and downtime in Aftercare. During Aftercare, students can engage in crafts, board games, or play outside. The preferable way to pay for Enrichment is ACH: Find the link here. A new ACH form and voided check is required EACH NEW SCHOOL YEAR to use automatic withdraw for Enrichment fees.
For Kindergarten students, registration for enrichment classes and music lessons is available in Term II and III: Kindergarteners thrive when they can focus primarily on adjusting to the school-day during their first term at Yinghua.
We want to emphasize that when you register for a course, it is essential to understand our Registration Commitment policy. All classes are non-refundable once registration has closed. This means that if you decide to back out of the class after the registration period closes, you will forfeit the session-long class fee.
For more detailed policies, please refer to the Enrichment Catalog. Here are a few important points:
WEATHER RELATED OR OTHER UNEXPECTED SCHOOL-CLOSED POLICY: Any enrichment classes missed due to weather-related or other unexpected school closures may be reimbursed.
MAKE-UP POLICY: If an enrichment teacher has to cancel a class due to illness, the teacher has an opportunity to make up one class during a session. There is one week reserved for this purpose at the end of any given session. If a teacher misses more than one day, families will be refunded for the class.

How do I sign up?
Registration is online through Signup.com.

Check: Write the check to Yinghua Academy with the memo: "Enrichment Classes". Please put the check in an envelope marked "Enrichment Classes" and bring to the front office.
Credit: call the business office at 612-788-0995 ext. 134 to pay by credit card by the due date on the invoice.
All payments are due on the due date which can be found on the invoice you will receive 1-2 weeks after registration.
Can I opt out of the Aftercare fee that’s bundled into the class price?
No, we’ve included a reduced-rate Aftercare with every class (and music lesson), so it’s easier than ever to take classes. There is no option to take a class without being enrolled in Aftercare. Students can be picked up anytime, but have the option to stay as late as 6 p.m. on class days.
How do I set Silent Dismissal when my student is enrolled in Enrichment?
Set Silent Dismissal for AFTERCARE + Classes/Music Lessons on any day your child has an Enrichment class. Students check in with Aftercare, and we escort them to class.
Where do I pick up my child from school?
When it's time to pick up your child, please show your current dismissal card at Door 2, and our staff will call for your child to meet you there. It's crucial to be on time, as Enrichment and Aftercare close at 6 p.m. In case of late pickups, there will be a charge of one dollar per minute, per student.
What happens if the minimum number of kids don’t sign up for a class?
Sadly, we have to cancel classes that don’t reach minimum numbers. We’ll contact you via email if that happens.
Can I cancel a class?
You can cancel a class without penalty no later than 12pm on the day registration closes.
When do classes begin?
Classes for Term III begin the week of Monday, March 18 until Friday, May 10, 2024.
There are NO CLASSES on: 03/22, 04/10, 04/11, 04/12
Homework and Enrichment Classes:
There is time to complete homework in Aftercare, but the designated time for the “Homework First” program is 4:00-5:15. If you want your child to finish their homework in Aftercare, avoid signing up for Enrichment classes from 4-5 pm. Unfortunately, some outside vendors only offer classes from 4:00-5:00 pm.
How long are classes? Classes range in length from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. Check the catalog details for timing of individual classes.
Where (and when) do I pick up my kids after Enrichment classes?
Show your current year dismissal card (the number not the QR code side) and sign out your child at Door 2. We’ll call your student when you have signed them out.
What if my kids are sick, or someone else has to pick them up?
Call the office and let us know if your kids won’t be there. If someone else is picking them up, let the office know. That person will need your child’s dismissal card or must show an ID.
**Sometimes Enrichment teachers have to cancel a class due to illness or etc.; your student will still be allowed in Aftercare when this occurs and the class will then meet during make-up week.
What else do I need to know?
Please remind your students that behavior expectations for Aftercare and Enrichment are the same as they are in the classroom. Unlike school, if your student is repeatedly disruptive to the Enrichment class they will be pulled from the class without a refund.
