YCEF awards each school in Yuba City Unified School District money to be used for new and innovative projects that support YCEF goals. Teachers and administrators collaborate on the expenditure of these funds. Examples have included:

• A sound system and lighting for stage drama and community events;

• Improvements to a school's jogging track;

• A steel soccer goal;

• Equipment for recess and Physical Education;

• Incentives for improved student attendance and positive behavior.
