Holocaust survivor, Sami Steigmann, spoke to students and faculty about his invaluable experience as a child who survived the horrors of World War II. This this educational experience, community members learned about what it means to be a social advocate in an ever changing world.
Middle East expert and former Israeli intelligence official, Avi Melamed, spoke to students and faculty about his firsthand experience and deep insight into the complexities of the Middle East. Through this educational experience, community members gained a broader understanding of current global affairs and what it means to be an informed and engaged global citizen in an increasingly interconnected world.
Each Shabbat, Hillel hosts raffles for delicious challah or Hillel merchandise, with all proceeds benefiting a different nonprofit. Thanks to our community’s generosity, we’ve already raised over $500 to support causes near and far—turning our weekly gatherings into opportunities to give back.

Each year around Passover, our Hillel executive board partners with a local nonprofit to assemble special Passover bags filled with goodies and kosher snacks for community members who are unable to attend temple. It’s our way of sharing the joy of the holiday and ensuring everyone can feel connected, supported, and included in the season’s traditions.
