Undergraduate Research Keynote Address:

"Just a Silly Class Assignment on Sports Illustrated OR The Role of Scholarship in Shaping Your Future "

Dr. Molly Hayes Sauder is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Sport Management in the Graham School of Business. Dr. Sauder earned her undergraduate degree from Messiah College, her master's degree from Shippensburg University, and her doctoral degree from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Alabama. Her scholarship focuses on several areas: 1) sport fan behavior (e.g., What are sport fan perceptions of athlete activism?); 2) diversity/inclusion issues in sport and sport management education (e.g., What are aspiring sport professionals' views on the fairness and effectiveness of initiatives like the Rooney Rule?); 3) experiential learning (e.g., How might engaging in experiential learning early in a student's academic career impact future experiential learning outcomes?). Dr. Sauder regularly disseminates her work through national/international conference presentations and in a variety of peer-reviewed academic journals. She embraces all types of scholarship - scholarship of discovery, application, integration and teaching/learning. Dr. Sauder is also passionate about supporting students in their scholarly endeavors.
