As an SVN Campus Partner, you have two options for getting YCP students to sign up for your volunteer opportunity.
Email us: Reach out to us at volunteer@ycp.edu with the details of your volunteer opportunity (including date, time, location, description, and point of contact). We'll post the project to our SVN portal on your behalf!
Post to the SVN portal: Post your volunteer opportunity directly to York College's SVN volunteer signup portal. Information about using the SVN portal is below.
How do I create a user account on the SVN portal?

Go to volunteer.ycp.edu
Click the Login tab.
Click the Haven't signed up yet? Click here button.
*If you have a YCP email address, you can skip this step. Instead, just click "YCP login" and enter your YCP credentials.
Follow the steps to create a user account.

I received an email to complete my SVN portal profile. What do I do?
If you received an email asking you to complete your profile, that means that we have already created a user account for your email address. All you need to do is select a password.
Go to volunteer.ycp.edu.
Click the Login tab.
Click the Organization Login button.
Click Forgot your password?
Enter the email address connected to your user account.
Check your email, and follow the steps to create a password.
Return to volunteer.ycp.edu and log in.
When you log in for the first time, you will be prompted to complete some profile information.

Can I register my organization on the SVN portal?
Yes! You can create an organization page for your organization (if you're a community partner) or your department or student group (if you're a YCP educator). Here's how:
Go to volunteer.ycp.edu (you'll need to log out if you're already logged on).
Click the option that says Click here to register your organization.
Please note that some organizations and student groups already have an organization page on the SVN portal. You can see if your organization, department, or group already has a page by visiting the SVN organizations list.
Complete the organization registration form.

How do I post a volunteer event on the SVN portal?
Once your organization, department, or group has an organization page in the SVN portal, you're ready to post volunteer projects!
Go to volunteer.ycp.edu and log in.
Click My Organization at the top of your page.
Under the toolbox, click Opportunities, then click Add New Opportunity.
Fill out the opportunity form, providing as much detail as you can.

Click submit! The SVN staff will review your listing and make updates as needed (such as adding a Team Leader). You'll be notified once your listing is live.
