Emergency Intranasal Diazepam (VALTOCO) is to be given as ordered (usually for seizures lasting five minutes or more.)
*NOTE - This medication can be given by anyone trained. One does not have to be a licensed nurse, but one must be aware of the side effects like decreased heart rate, respiration, and blood pressure. Call EMS as soon as the medication is given.
