Administrator Information

We welcome Mr. Edward Lavor as the new principal of Father Bressani Catholic High School. Mr. Lavor has been an educator since 1994 and an administrator since 2008 in roles that have provided him with vast experiences in specialized programs. For the last four years , Mr Lavor has been principal of Holy Cross Academy where he oversaw the International Baccalaureate program and the High Performer Athlete (HPA) program, the first of its kind in the York Catholic District School Board. As principal of Holy Cross Catholic Academy, his expertise in facilitating, expanding and creating new programs such as the High Performer Athlete (HPA) program will be an asset for our students and for the continuation and innovation of Father Bressani's successful Advanced Placement Program.

Mr. Luca Savo will be the Vice Principal overseeing the AP program at Father Bressani. Mr. Savo has been an educator since 2000 and brings a wealth of expertise to the program through his varied positions at the York District Catholic School board. Mr. Savo has taught science and was the department head of Health and Physical Education before becoming a Vice Principal. As well, Mr. Savo is a former graduate of Father Bressani and has been a member of the YCDSB since elementary school. This experience and familiarity with the school community has fostered a relationship that allows him to make the student experience relevant and authentic in this ever changing environment. We welcome Mr. Savo to the AP team!
