Dear STL,
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
It was definitely with mixed emotions that my new role as VP took me away from a place that has been my second home these past 12 years. It has truly been a blessing getting to teach and learn from smart, dedicated, and caring students who have been lovingly supported from home, all of these years.
What I will miss the most is getting to witness The Little Way in action everyday by staff, students and parents alike. Doing small things with great love is a part of who I am and even though I am not physically present at STL, I carry it with me wherever I go.
Thank you so much for that gift.
With joyful and heartfelt thanks,
Mr. Tom Garreffa
Mr. Tom Gareffa Congratulatory Farewell
On behalf of the STL Community, we would like to congratulate and wish Mr. Tom Gareffa, Department Head of Business, many blessings as he embarks on his new journey as Secondary Vice Principal at St. Jean de Brebeuf CHS.
Mr. Gareffa, thank you for your years of service and commitment to St. Theresa of Lisieux. You are a true example of the embodiment of the Little Way. Giving yourself and your time so selflessly over the last 12 years will be forever cherished.
Farewell and Good Luck!
By Mrs. Elisa Mastromartino, Principal
I would like to thank Tom on behalf of all our teaching staff. You have been an exceptional leader, teammate, and friend to us all in the Business Department and to those who know you well in our school community. Everyone who was ever a part of the Business Department has said that it is a pleasure and honour to work/serve with you. You have been an awesome leader and motivator to your students and to your department members as well. We are ALL excited for what is coming your way, and we know you will continue to be a solid leader and a strong administrator. Thank you Tom for everything that you have done and given while here at STL. Your involvement with DECA and Student Government was very much appreciated. May St. Theresa's Little Way continue to bless your way as you journey onward to your new school, St. Jean de Brebeuf as Vice Principal. Congratulations! We will miss you.
