Students in the ESL pathway progress through five levels: ESLAO1, ESLBO1, ESLC01, ESLDO1, and ESLEO1. 

Once they finish ESLDO1 (Level D), they can transition into the regular academic English pathway, starting with Grade 9 English (ENG1D1/ENG1P1) or Grade 10 English (ENG2D1/ENG2P1). 

Completing ESLEO1 is considered equivalent to completing Grade 10 English, which also allows students to move directly into Grade 11 English (NBE3U1).
