Grade 9 Registration and Specialty Programs
At St. Katharine Drexel Catholic School, we nurture students’ faith, learning, and well-being in a welcoming Catholic community. Through academic opportunities, clubs, councils, and athletics, students develop their talents, strengthen their character, and build meaningful connections.
We offer Advanced Placement (AP) Prep and French Immersion (FI) specialty programs. Our AP Prep program provides enriched learning experiences that develop critical thinking and collaboration while supporting academic excellence and personal growth.

Students applying for a specialty program must complete BOTH General Registration and Specialty Program Registration.
Current YCDSB Grade 8 Students:

Complete Form S.1B: YCDSB Grade 8 Students Transferring to Secondary School, indicating your school and program preferences. The form link is shared with parents and guardians through SchoolMessenger beginning October 19, 2026.
Students interested in AP Prep or French Immersion must also complete the separate Specialty Program application.

Complete the online secondary school registration for your school of choice. Students interested in AP Prep or French Immersion must also complete the Specialty Program application.
Families must provide the required original registration documents, including:
Proof of age.
Proof of status in Canada.
Two documents confirming residency: a property tax bill, home purchase document, or lease/rental agreement, plus a utility bill, landline telephone bill, or another acceptable document. A driver’s licence is not accepted as proof of residency.
Guardianship or other supporting documentation, where applicable.

Deadline to accept or decline a Specialty Program offer - January 3, 2027
Ongoing general registration intake - January 4 – September 2027
Grade 8 students select Grade 9 courses - January 18 – February 5, 2027
Late general registration: Registrations will be accepted after November 27 through paper forms available at schools; however, course availability may be affected.
Accepting a specialty offer: Current YCDSB students who accept a Specialty Program offer will automatically be enrolled at the offering school.
