Available via the Digital Maine Library, this database has a selection of more than 450 full-text academic journals, hundreds of full-text reports, and many premier reference sources. Its focus is on educational principles, child development and psychology, and best practices in education.

Many of the online resources available through YHS and Digital Maine Library include translations. Examples of materials that can be translated include reference/background articles, news stories, and more. I can pull together resources--let me help you!

The Maine Digital Library provides access to 8 different "versions" of World Book Encyclopedia for students with various abilities.
World Book Advanced: Advanced high school and college level students
World Book Discover: Aimed at learners reading below year level (as well as adult literacy, reluctant readers or ESL), World Book Discover engages with easy-to-understand content, interactive multimedia and text-to-speech. Includes activities aimed at teaching life skills.
World Book Enciclopedia Estudiantil Hallazgos: This resource is the Spanish-language version of the World Book Encyclopedia, providing the same quality information to Spanish-speaking learners. Grades 2-6.

If you show a film in class, you are probably covered by Fair Use. Outside of class, we do have a public performance rights license through Swank. To see if your film is covered, go to https://www.swank.com/k-12-schools/customer-hub/. In the upper right corner you will see a search. Enter the title you would like to show and if you pull it up in a search it is covered by your license.
