When creating a slideshow or other visual presentation, great images make a great impact. And it's easy to find wonderful images with a simple Google search. But many images are protected by copyright and should not be used without permission.
You should follow the guidelines for citing images using the formatting style assigned by your teacher. MLA is common at YHS.
First, find an image that you are allowed to use. Use the Tools tab in Google to limit your search:
When you find an image you want to use, go to the original site to determine who should get credit for the image.
This image is from Wikimedia Commons and is labeled for reuse. On the site a suggestion for 'attribution' is provided. The attribution is entered below the image.
When making your own attribution label, include the following information:
Creator (photographer/artist)
Title
Source
The type of reuse license for the image, if given
You may not be able to find every element! Here's an example using an image from Flickr:
