Purpose:
To understand the concept of mind mapping;
To use it as a creative tool for generating and organizing ideas;
To consider ideas, words, symbols, that make you, “YOU”;
To develop your visual voice.
The 5 things I used were music, my disabilities, stress, imagination, my love for animals, and my home. I drew my pets because I love them and they make me happy. The section with a lot of purple and emojis is music because it inspires me. The section with the paper is stressful as all the paper is shown to represent that I get stressed really fast and I sometimes feel like it is too much. The section with the dragon and all the little creatures is meant to be my imagination because I think about a lot of strange things and picture weird creatures. The section with the TV, the calm emojis, the legos, the pillows, and the moon are there to represent what I love about my home and the stuff I do. The section with the rainbow puzzle pieces, the person covering their ears, the squares and the circles, and the two shoes are shown to represent my disabilities. I am different in a good way and I am sensitive to loud noises. I used pencils and colored pencils because I am used to drawing with those materials. All the random colors are shown to show that I am made up of many different colors on the inside and that it makes me feel nice on the inside.
