Still Life Studies

• To demonstrate understanding of accurate perspective of cylinders and cubes;

• To use a variety of mark-making strategies to practice and demonstrate the value changes on forms, helping them appear 3D

• To practice using a variety of media to draw a still life

Artists Studied: Henry Moore, Vincent van Gogh, Giorgio Morandi

Meassuring with my pencil helped me a lot getting the right scale of the still lifes on these. I think my mark making is pretty good the is a little room for improvement but I think its one of the places that i'm a little better at. Placement is also one of the places i'm better at. my placement wasn't very good at the start but the more i kept doing it the better i got at it. i still feel as i have some room for improvement for both of these.

I think i've got to get better with my angles a lot. my angles aren't very good right now and have a lot of room for improvement on them. I also have to work on my volume a bit. in these drawings didn't go from light to dark very well. My ellipses can be worked on as they're not very accurate compared to the still life was basing my drawing off.
