Reflection
The process of making this sculpture was very fun. We made 3 practice reed sculptures and 1 final sculpture. We used a 7’ long piece of reed. It was soaked for 15 minutes-ish so it could bend. We then made the final one. We used paper clips to keep it together and added some emphasis. We then glued it all together to make the final product.
I have put little pieces of reed on it to show emphasis on my sculpture. it makes it look not as empty as it did before. without the emphasis the sculpture would be very plain and wouldn't look good. the emphasis makes the sculpture stand out compared to without the emphasis.
I learned about negative space and positive space and how to make them equal to each other. this really helped me on how to see art with negative and positive space. it also helped me learn how to use it in my pieces of art.
