Description:

The piece “Un Ciel de Prairie en Été” recalls a nostalgic place in nature. The title translates to “A Meadow and Sky in the Summer”. The performers of the piece tell a story of this place they long for. Think of a nature painting, complete with birds, mountains, ponds, and winds, but having emotion: a place where only the present exists, a place where serenity meets the soul. The blend of French harmonies and minimalist textures combine to create swirling colors, painting a picture different for each listener.

This piece was written July 1-14, 2022 during New England Music Camp as a submission for the Composition Intensive.
