Choose one of the half portraits and glue onto a page in your sketchbook.
Using graphite/pencil, complete the portrait.
Use techniques that you learned; hatching, cross-hatching, lines, etc.
Pay close attention to detail and lighting. Your half of the drawing should look three-dimensional.
I believe that the shading and detail is very intricate, which helps the portrait look very realistic and similar to the photo. I spent a lot of time working on proportions, which I believe worked in favor of the realism, overall working well for the half portrait! In the future, I think that I need to work on how I draw hair. I haven’t had a lot of practice, and while I do believe that the values of the hair and similar, it doesn’t look as realistic as I would have liked. To further improve that, I plan to work on spending time and using a variety of tools to get the ideal look.
