My Father took photography when he was in high school and see said it was by far his favorite class. I also have always taken an intrest in taking photos and capturing the meaning, mood and moment of the photo. I hope to learn how to make a somewhat decent photo become an even better photo, so I can therefore look back at it and remember the effort and success of the photo itself.
At the start of the semester I wished to follow my fathers footsteps and follow the culinary art known as photography, And I had always taken extreme interest in photography, catching an amazing moment in time and imputing it into a sheet of paper, screen or even a Polaroid picture like material. I always loved capturing the mood of a moment within a picture and how even a simple photo can share an entire story. At the start of the year I had the goal of learning how to make a decent photo even better, and I can confirm that after a semester of learning, I have done just that.
Throughout the semester we have learned about the history of photography, famous and most well known photographers, different ways to show photos such as, Color Harmonies, Abstract photos, Reflections, Unusual perspectives and so many more. We also were taught many photo skills and strategies along with photos including quotes and as I said before, The History of Photography. I personally believe that during my time as a photography student, I have learned much much more then I hade originally assumed I would and I am proud of that new achieved goal. Looking ahead in my photography career as a YHS student, I am hoping to continue my passion for photography throughout the upcoming years I have at Yarmouth High School, My next goals are to continue improving what I have learned from in order to make it into perfection. Im planning on taking photo 2 and so on in the next upcoming years I have in school, and I hope to learn more and more everyday.
