Purpose:
To understand and demonstrate pinhole photography and how it works;
To become familiar with darkroom processes and procedures.
To begin we used the cans/pinhole cameras and used them outside in the right lighting. We exposed the hole that lets light through to reflect onto the paper on the back inside of the can, and let it in for a certain amount of time before closing it again. Once we had the paper we went through the process of turning the images negative to positive in the dark room. We used another paper and put it over the original negative image and exposed it under light from one of the enlargers the dark room. Then, put in developer, water, fixer, and more water or just be done. Having to keep the image in the different liquids for certain amounts of time. Developer was 45-60 seconds, water for over a minute, then fixer for 4 minutes to be officially complete.
