JMG empowers Maine students and models Maine’s next generation of young leaders, providing them with a toolbox of skills, knowledge, and best practices that they can use throughout their lives to achieve self-sufficiency, pursue their aspirations, and attain success.

JMG’s model utilizes experiential education through extended learning opportunities, including statewide student enrichment activities, participation in student shadow days, and college campus information sessions.

In JMG, students will be challenged in ways they may not be in other academic classes. These students have the opportunity to participate in career exploration and find a post-secondary path that excites and interests them. They also have access to an additional level of support from their JMG Specialist, who works with students on personal development, academic success, and future planning.
