A job-shadowing placement provides Year 8 students with the chance to step outside the classroom and gain first-hand experience of a particular job role or career sector.
Year 8 students have the opportunity to undertake a short work placement in May 2026. We hope that as many students as possible will make the most of this experience.
The placement days are Wednesday 20 May and Thursday 21 May 2026.

Student Guide to using the Unifrog Placement Tool
Once an employer has said 'Yes' to taking a student, the student needs to post placement information onto the Unifrog platform. Placements cannot be authorised if the details are not added to Unifrog.
Sign into Unifrog here using your school email address as your username.
If you need to reset your password, you can do that here.

You could also book an appointment here with Mr Fish to help you add the information to Unifrog.
What is the Unifrog Placement Tool?
Unifrog's online Placement Tool creates a link between four partners - the student, employer, parent/carer and school - in order to record, monitor and evaluate work placements. Everything is online and in one place to simplify the communication process.
This link summarises the Placement Tool process, including a little video: https://www.unifrog.org/help/unifrogs-placements-tool-faqs.
