Code Haven was founded in 2016 by Yale students who saw a lack of access to computer science education in local middle schools. Inspired to change that, they created a mentorship program where college students could bring computer science directly into classrooms.

What started with just a few mentors and two classrooms has grown into a thriving organization that now partners with multiple schools across New Haven, introducing hundreds of students to the world of code through once a week teachings.
