The Chemistry Boot Camp is a free, online opportunity for those interested in learning more about graduate school and careers in chemistry. It is divided into 3 sessions each geared towards providing information on various aspects of a career in chemistry: preparing for higher education, obtaining research experience, applying to a graduate program. the application and a video from each section in 2020 can be found below.

A group of students, postdocs, and other members of the university dedicated to scientific outreach to the local New Haven Community. Ways to get involved include participating in Exploring Science or Flipped Science Fair can be found here!
The SURF program is a great way for undergraduate students to get exposure to research at Yale.
ESI-PREP is a one year program to provide recent college graduates in the humanities, social sciences, and physical sciences with a foundation of knowledge and skills for success as a PhD graduate student. The program is particularly interested in identifying and providing research experience to students from underrepresented backgrounds.
The STARS program is a Yale specific program designed to support women, minority, economically underprivileged, and other historically underrepresented students in STEM fields. The program provides undergraduates (generally first and second years) an opportunity to combine course-based study, research, mentorship, networking, and career planning in STEM disciplines. There are currently three components to this program: STARS Academic Year Program, the STARS Summer Research Program, and the STARS II Program (supports juniors).
The central goal of CIRTL is to improve STEM undergraduate education of all students at every college and university, and thereby to increase the diversity in STEM fields and the STEM literacy of the nation.

Mandatory reporter - A faculty, student, or staff member who is required to report any Title IX violations to a Title IX coordinator as soon as possible. Our DEI Advocates are not mandatory reporters (unless they have a supervisory position over you), and so you may approach them if you're uncomfortable about mandatory reporting. Mandatory reporters are also Campus Security Authorities. Therefore they are required to file reports of certain crimes including sexual assault.
SHARE/Anonymous reporting - Calls to SHARE are confidential and can be anonymous if you wish. SHARE offers information, advocacy, and support such as counseling.
Gender-based discrimination - A situation which limits your ability to participate in or benefit from any university program, activity, or services based on sexual orientation or gender identity or expression.
Sexual misconduct - Any situation including sexual assault, sexual harassment, intimate partner violence, stalking, voyeurism, and any other conduct of a sexual nature that is nonconsensual or has the purpose or effect of threatening, intimidating, or coercing a person. While sexual misconduct often includes nonconsensual sexual contact, this is not a necessarily a requirement.
Non-gender-based discrimination - A situation which limits your ability to participate in or benefit from any university program, activity, or service based on protected characteristics, which include but are not limited to race, color, religion, age, disability, status as a veteran, national or ethnic origin.
