About Martin LaMar

Martin LaMar is a specialist in the area of operations and management of affordable and public housing. His leadership character is built on strength, knowledge, and good interpersonal skills. His work places emphasis on real estate, property management, community development, asset management, new market tax credits, sustainability, and human capital among many others.

Mr. LaMar is an alumnus of the Alabama A&M University, graduating with a degree in Finance. He went on to pursue higher studies to obtain his master’s in Public Administration and Social Work from the University of Washington. He worked at the Atlanta Housing Authority, Philadelphia Housing Authority, and Lucas Metropolitan Housing Authority, where he held executive posts. Mr. LaMar is currently the Regional Vice President at McCormack Baron Salazar.

In 2012, Mr. LaMar was among Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 40 Under 40. His professional career focuses on the issues, the people who are affected by the issues, and the solutions allowing each to be better. He aims to become a senior executive of a large for-profit or non-profit organization. Mr. LaMar admires successful organizations such as the The Kraft Group, Ford Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, UPMC, and United Way.
