Students are expected to arrive to class on-time and prepared to learn each day. For both hybrid and fully virtual students, creative learners are to show up to their classes each day. Whether they are attending in-person or virtually in the "zoom room" they will receive high quality instruction from our creative instructional team.
HYBRID SETTING
YACS Creative Learners who opt for the hybrid setting will attend school hybrid two days a week, at their assigned YACS campus. This choice mimics the regular school day with enhanced safety and health protocols. Hybrid Instruction Details: How will we ensure academic rigor and student safety? What will it look like in practice?
➢ Learners will attend school at their assigned campus daily and receive temperature checks upon arrival
➢ Students and all staff will wear a mask or face covering while on campus ➢ Enhanced safety and cleaning procedures implemented on campus
➢ Every student will be provided with a computer or tablet in the event that we must transition to 100% virtual learning at any point
➢ Maximum 15 individuals in each class, including students and adults
➢ Recess, lunch, and specials will occur with that same cohort
➢ ELL, 504, and Special Education students will receive all services as outlined in their established plans
100% VIRTUAL SETTING
YACS creative learners who select the 100% virtual setting will receive all learning instruction virtually while remaining at home. This choice will be a combination of direct, teacher-led instruction via Zoom and self-guided learning through Google Classroom and other programs. Virtual Instruction Details: How will we ensure academic rigor and what will it like in practice? ➢ Computer and learning materials will be provided to students by YACS
➢ Attendance to live sessions is mandatory (attendance taken at each session)
➢ Assignments will be turned in virtually and students will receive grades
➢ Teacher-led classes will occur via zoom on a daily basis
➢ Student independent work will be required daily
➢ Daily schedule will mimic the hybrid schedule as much as possible
➢ Subjects offered will be core subjects of ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies
➢ ELL, 504, and Special Education students will receive all services virtually as outlined in their established plans
➢ Full quarter commitment for virtual instruction (through Oct. 12th for 1st quarter)
