Meet the Directors

When you enter the orchestra room, please follow the steps below:

• Prepare yourself for a focused rehearsal session by entering the room quietly & courteously.

• Cell phones will not be utilized during orchestra. If you bring a cell phone to rehearsal it should be placed in the "device den" at the start of class per district policy.

• Sit down in your assigned seat, situate your stand, music, and supplies, and read the agenda on the white board or projector screen.

• Begin tuning with our classroom tuners. Watch for the signal that it is time for our "Double Check". 

• When the director steps on the podium, stop playing.

• During rehearsal, do your best to stay in your seat. Only get up to move around the room if absolutely necessary.

• At the end of class, please make sure your chair and tuner are on the dot. Push your stand down all of the way, and take everything with you, including garbage, pencils, and water bottles.
