1.) Do NOT try to repair your instrument yourself.
2.) Call/E-mail/Speak with Mr. Shuman to see if he can assist in fixing your instrument
3.) If he is unable to fix your instrument the next step will be to send it in to a repair shop.
a.) Q&F or Ellman's Music rentals: you will want to call them first since your instrument is likely covered under a warranty and could be free to fix.
b.) Other music shop rentals: Call and see if they will repair your instrument or if you have a warranty.
c.) School rentals: Mr. Shuman will coordinate where to send it in for repairs. Any repair costs can be passed onto you if the instrument was mishandled.
d.) Non-rentals: Although you are welcome to have your instrument serviced anywhere, we work with two vendors who drop off and return instruments to our school for your convenience. You can contact either of them here:
