1.) Do NOT try to repair your instrument yourself.
2.) Call/E-mail/Speak with your child's instructor to see if they can assist in fixing your instrument.
3.) If they are unable to fix your instrument the next step will be to send it in to a repair shop.
a.) Q&F or Ellman's Music Rentals: You will want to call them first since your instrument is likely covered under a warranty and could be free to fix.
b.) Other Music Shop Rentals: Call and see if they will repair your instrument or if you have a maintenance contract that will cover any costs of repairs.
c.) School Rentals: Your child's instructor will coordinate where to send it in for repairs. Any repair costs can be passed on to you if the instrument was mishandled as stated in the rental agreement.
d.) Non-Rentals: Although you are welcome to have your instrument serviced anywhere, we work with two vendors who drop off and return instruments to our school for your convenience. You can contact either of them here:
