This section introduces a new concept called a 'scale'. In this section, the E Minor Pentatonic Scale is used to demonstrate this concept. Traditionally, scales consist of 7 different notes; however, a pentatonic scale derived from the Greek word 'Pent' is a scale of 5 notes. This scale can be applied all across the neck in a multitude of ways; however for this demonstration the low E, A and D strings are all that will be needed.
