unplugged
Unplugged activities are those in which we do not need any device to start coding. In this workshop we will see an example of "unplugged" activity, related to Spring, Easter and the Everybunny's collection of stories by Ellie Sandall!
Easter Coding Maze
Easter Coding Maze
This activity consists of creating an unplugged coding to bring the Easter Bunny to the basket with the Easter Eggs.
Age: 5-7 years old.
Materials:
- Mat and cards
- Dry erase white boards, erasers and pens.
How can we do it:
- We have to make different squares and cards so that the Easter Bunny can move from one place to another until it reaches the Basket.
- We can create it with text editing software by adding squares and images.
Implementation:
- The activity consists on starting coding, therefore, the boxes must be placed easily at the beginning and increase the difficulty slowly.
Variation:
- This activity can be created in many different ways, to fit into a table, with different topics, etc. It was part of an Easter gamification that we can find here.
